He is seriously funny. A modern G.K. Chesterton type character (without the religious overtones?)

All-time best
Just for Maurny
In search of excellence
I have some other blogs lined up in my head. They’ve all been sitting there for weeks & I just don’t seem to get around to them.
To kick off, I wanted to share a trailer that I’ve watched recently & am pretty excited to see (if it ever comes to Australia).
Why do I want to watch a guy make Sushi?
A year or two ago, I taped “Kings of Pastry” on my DVR &, surprising myself, watched it at least half a dozen times since!
I think I love the passion that I see in these people. To be so committed to something that others may consider trivial. To want to take your “art” (whether or not it’s publicly recognised as “art”) and commit yourself to honing it to the rest of your life. How can that passion be anything less than riveting?
This is the kind of passion that I want to have. I believe that the good news of Jesus Christ’s death & resurrection is such good news, that to know it & respond to it is the single most powerful & transformative thing someone can do! Still, I know a lot of people think that my passion is trivial. Maybe I need to learn a lesson or two about passion from this guy….

Am I Systematic enough?
“Communicate Jesus” has me really thinking about systems and whether I have been successful in implementing them.

Party Hard
Who says we don’t party hard in Kincumber?
Some people, when they have their BFF over for the night go out for a swanky dinner, others watch movies, or have a couple of drinks. My wife arranges for her BFF to bring her new sewing machine over, so they can both play on their new machines…
Needless to say, I’m hiding in my office for the night.
Still here….

(Pumpkin, Gumnut & I at the Three Sisters.)
It’s just been a hectic couple of weeks.
First day on the job, Jan 1 went well. I then had a public holiday on the Monday, a day of packing, then the big move to Kincumber!
We’re in the house!
Of course, I only enjoyed that for a day or two, before we packed up & headed up to CMS Summer School.
It was a great week, great talks, an awesome time to hear lots of missionaries speak & catch up with friends. I also got to spend time sharing a house with my friends Dan & Harriet.
From then it’s been work, work, work!
But I am LOVING work.
And I am close enough to the beach to drive down with the kids & have a splash before dinner…
It’s like a 10 minute holiday whenever we go.
A couple more pics for the family…

There were a couple of swings behind our house in Blackheath.

Other kids want to play with trains, or boxes, my boy likes sinks & taps…
